「Little village berth ヨースケ!」
Hi,My name is Asobito-Isamu.
http://2710136.wixsite.com/asobito
Look at this.
Today, our guest is Yosuke who is an owner of the night club named "Little Village Birth".
He is a drummer from a punk band and he also plays the Japanese traditional drum.
Today we are going to talk about Takayama which has deep and wonderful scenery and it has new activity.
Okay. So ... Let's get started.
Aobito> So... where should we start ? What's your main topic ?
Berth yosuke>It's night club called "Birth".
A>That’s what I thought.
B>So.. I opened Birth in Takayama.
A>Are you the owner or not?
B>Yes I am .
A>Cool ! Is it almost a year since you run this business?
B>Actually, a year and a half since the 1st of April 2015.

A>How was it so far ?
B>It was good. At the beginning, we had only three days for a renovation before "STIR" the first event.
A>And right away the second event "Red" started?
B>Yeah Yeah! Time has flown so fast.
A>Did you get used to it ?
B>I think so. It is getting more interesting.
A>Great! Is everything good since you established this business ?
B>Yeah, I have a lot of friends since then and that is the best thing.
A>You got a lot of friends out of town right ?
B>Yes I did. They came from out of town and I also got a lot of foreigner friends because we have foreigner's night. We can gain a lot of connections with them.
It's unlimited. Actually, when I was young, l came from countryside and I wanted to go to big city.
A>What kind of city? Like Tokyo?
Yes, it is. My older sister lived in Tokyo.
B>But I didn't have any reasons to go there and I also wanted to go to USA but it has no reasons as well.
A>Oh I see.
B>At that time, I had a chance to meet a CEO of the company. After talking with him, my idea was changed.
A>what kind of change?
B>So...I thought his life style was really cool. It affected me. I started thinking that I should do whatever I want. Then I got a passion for my work. So I worked so hard.
A>It sounds nice. Did you make a quick decision about running "Birth" or not?
B>Yes I did.
B>Now, about the naming. My father used to run a bar and the name was "Little village" and seven years ago, My brother reopened it with the name "Little Village Jr."
And now, we named our bar night club "Little Village Birth "
A>That's cool!

~イベント~
A>It gets crazy when it's "Foreign Night" lately. Would you want tourists to come to"Birth"?
B>Yes. My friends run guest houses. They say it's quiet in the evening so there is nothing to do.
A>Are those guests, "iori" ?
B>Yes. There are some bars which are not open until late night. And also, it won't let foreigners come in. So..actually, how the "Foreigner Night"started was just like a random when tour guide brought some foreigners to the bar.
A>Oh, I see.
B>At that night, the guide took big group of people about 35 individuals to the bar.

A>That's a lot. Is he Tom?
B>No, he is Matthew. We didn't expect that many people came in.
It didn't have DJ or music. Matthew put some music on his phone. It went so well.
After that day, they all became popular on FB.
A>I see. I thought Iori introduced them to the bar.
B>No, that was the reason.
I talked with Iori's owner earlier about. I've got to go to all hotels in Takayama to tell staffs about "Foreign Night" and we also decided to make flyers to spread it out and to get the attention of foreign tourists.
Actually, I want to speak in English.
A>Me too. I asked to the foreigners. "How did you find out this tour?" by using a portable translator at that night at "Birth", because we couldn't speak English well to communicate them. They answered "by Contiki" that is the name of the tour site.
B>Contiki ?
A>Yes, it is. Actually, that site is all in English, I didn't understand.
I'll look it up next time.
B>It's nice. You know? It seems like October is the best season for foreigners to visit here.
A>Oh I see.
Anyway, we keep on trying and hoping that Takayama city will be more popular with the help of local people.
B>Exactly!
I want tourists to come to "Foreign Night" but not only that event. They can also go to another event like "STIR". The organizer is Ryu, l hope it will take a blast as well.
A>I see. by the way, the Sushi Shop next door of "Birth" is popular to foreigners recently.
B>But the owner of that Sushi Shop wants to get local people.
A>Really? He might be afraid of foreigners. Haha.
B>Haha, It could be.
Anyway, I noticed that this city is popular for family trip and elderly people.
Usually, a family don't want to go to a bar or a night club, you know?
A>Yeah, right. But, a lot of young Asians like Korean, Chinese, Taiwanese and Hong Konger visit to Takayama recently, haven't they?
B>Yeah yeah . That's way I am thinking about how tourists will come to my club.
How about showing Jackie Chan's movie in front of the club?
A>That's funny.
But that might be a good idea to put on a monitor.
B>Thank you.
The other day, a foreigner lost his way and I taught him.
So, he drunk so much in my bar.
That's the way, I thought I should do even small thing.
A>That's awesome!
Anyway, we want more tourists to come to our bar by using internet and FB, etc.
I like foreigners. l hope more exciting things will be happened to Takayama city.
B>Exactly. I do my best!
